Sentinels VALORANT roster 2027 is complete

Sentinels have completed their VALORANT roster for 2027. The organization announced on November 3, 2026, that it has signed Brock "brawk" Somerhalder from NRG, one day after introducing Francis "OXY" Hoang from Cloud9. With those two signings, Sentinels now have five confirmed players for the 2027 VCT Americas season, closing a rebuild that began when the team parted ways with Gurjiwan "Jerrwin" Gill and Jonah "JonahP" Pulice at the end of October.

The full roster is brawk, OXY, Mohamed Amine "johnqt" Ouarid as in-game leader, Yassin "Reduxx" Aboulalazm, and Gabriel "cortezia" Cortez. Strafe's report on the signing notes that brawk arrives as a 2025 world champion and Champions MVP, which makes this more than a routine roster fill: Sentinels have added proven championship pedigree to a team that badly needs it.

Why brawk matters for Sentinels

Brawk's resume is the headline. At VALORANT Champions Paris 2025, NRG beat Fnatic 3-2 in the grand final to claim the world championship, with brawk named MVP. NRG stayed competitive in 2026, finishing third at Masters Santiago, second at the Esports World Cup, and reaching the playoffs at Champions Shanghai. That is a player who has performed on the biggest stages, in the biggest matches, and that experience is exactly what a rebuilding roster needs.

Role fit matters too. Brawk is an initiator, a role that shapes how a team takes map control and sets up its duelists. Pairing him with johnqt's calling should give Sentinels a clearer structure than they had in 2026, when the team failed to qualify for Masters Santiago, Masters London, or Champions Shanghai. A roster is not just five good players; it is five players whose roles make sense together, and on paper, this one does.

What went wrong in 2026

Sentinels' 2026 season was a disappointment by their own standards. The team finished ninth to tenth at both VCT Americas Kickoff and Stage 1, then saw its Stage 2 campaign end in the Play-Ins with a 2-0 loss to KRU Esports on August 22. For an organization with Sentinels' history and fanbase, missing every international event in a season is a failure, and the roster overhaul is a direct response to it.

The organization was nevertheless retained among the eight VCT Americas partner organizations for the 2027-2028 cycle, so the rebuild happens from a position of security, not desperation. Sentinels do not need to fight for their league slot; they need to prove they belong at the top of it. That distinction matters, because it means the 2027 roster can be judged on results, not on survival.

The rest of the Sentinels VALORANT roster 2027

Johnqt remains the in-game leader, and that continuity is important. A new roster with a new caller would be starting from zero; keeping johnqt means the team's communication and mid-round calling have a foundation, even as two new players learn the system. Reduxx and cortezia round out the five, and both will benefit from playing alongside proven winners rather than carrying a struggling roster themselves.

OXY, signed a day before brawk, adds duelist firepower from Cloud9, while brawk adds initiator structure from NRG. The pattern is clear: Sentinels went shopping at successful organizations and bought players who know what winning looks like. It is the same approach other rebuilding teams have taken this offseason, and our T1 VALORANT roster overhaul coverage and MIBR benching report show how busy the 2027 transfer window has been across the scene.

What success looks like in 2027

The bar for this roster is not just qualifying for an international event, though that would be a step forward after 2026. It is competing once they get there. A team with a world champion, a Champions MVP, and an established in-game leader should not be satisfied with showing up; it should be aiming for playoff runs.

The early tests will come at VCT Americas Kickoff, where the new roster's map pool, role assignments, and mid-round discipline will be visible for the first time. If brawk and OXY settle quickly, Sentinels could be one of the stories of the early season. If they do not, the organization will face the same questions it faced in 2026, only with less patience left. For now, though, the rebuild is done, the roster is set, and Sentinels have given their fans a genuine reason to believe again.
