Karmine Corp Worlds 2026: Game One Was a Statement

Karmine Corp Worlds 2026 hopes are still alive after a 2-0 sweep of CTBC Flying Oyster in the Swiss Stage elimination match, and the scoreline barely captures how one sided the first game was. Played on October 29 in Allen, Texas, the series pitted two 1-2 teams against each other with a brutal rule: win and fight on, lose and go home at 1-3. Karmine Corp, the LEC hopefuls who came through the Play-In stage, took that rule personally. Game one ended in 27 minutes with a 19-3 kill score, a margin that tells you everything about who controlled the map.

The opening game turned on a dragon fight. Busio's Nautilus found Syndra in mid lane to draw first blood, letting Yike's Wukong collect the kill, and although CFO answered with a kill of their own, Karmine Corp won the next dragon fight with three kills and handed kyeahoo's Cassiopeia the gold to scale rapidly. From there the lead only grew: an 8,000 gold advantage by 20 minutes, Baron secured, and CFO squeezed out of every lane until the Nexus fell. It was the kind of game that breaks a team's confidence, and CFO, the LCP representatives, never fully recovered it.

Karmine Corp Worlds 2026: Game Two Was the Real Test

Game two was closer, and more impressive for it. CFO struck first through Doggo's Caitlyn, built a lead of more than 4,000 gold by 18 minutes, and took down the tier two mid tower plus both tier one side towers. For a long stretch it looked like the series would go to a decider. Then Karmine Corp found the opening they had been waiting for: a pick on Doggo in the jungle behind the Baron pit that closed the gold gap in one stroke.

The mid game swung back and forth from there. CFO held a small lead at 26 minutes with three dragon stacks, claimed the Dragon Soul in a mid lane fight, and traded it for Karmine Corp's tier one mid tower. But the next mid lane teamfight belonged to KC, who locked down CFO's primary damage dealers, took Baron, and then won the final fight after a tense standoff around Elder Dragon to close the series 2-0. CFO are eliminated, finishing the tournament at 1-3, while Karmine Corp improve to 2-2 and advance to the final Swiss round on Saturday, October 31, where three best of three deciders will hand out the last quarterfinal spots.

Worlds 2026: What Happens Next

The standings after Thursday tell a clear story. Gen.G, Dplus KIA, T1, and Invictus Gaming have already qualified for the quarterfinals, with T1 sweeping Movistar KOI and IG beating LYON on Wednesday to join them at 3-1. Movistar KOI and LYON drop to 2-2 alongside Karmine Corp, and all three will play a last chance series on Saturday. The other Round 4 qualifier, Bilibili Gaming versus Top Esports, was also scheduled in the same overnight window, with a quarterfinal spot for its winner and a Saturday decider for its loser, guaranteeing at least one more LPL team in the knockout stage picture.

Round 4 wraps up on Friday, October 30 in Texas with two more elimination matches: Team Liquid face LOS, and G2 Esports meet Hanwha Life Esports, with the losers going home. Both series carry real weight. G2 against Hanwha Life pits Europe's first seed against the LCK's second seed and reigning MSI champions, and one of those names will leave Worlds before the knockout stage. For Karmine Corp, the job is simpler now: rest, review the CFO series, and prepare for a Saturday opponent that will be just as desperate as they were on Thursday. The Blue Wall's run is not over yet, and after a sweep like this, nobody in the 2-2 pool will want to draw them. Our Worlds 2026 Round 4 Day 2 preview set up both Thursday series, and our Worlds 2026 Swiss Round 4 results covered Wednesday's qualifiers.
