Worlds 2026 Swiss Stage Round 2 Results: Gen.G and DK Win LCK Civil Wars, AL Drops to 0-2

Worlds 2026 Swiss Stage Round 2 is in the books, and it delivered exactly what the draw promised: two all-LCK civil wars, a crisis for the LPL's top seed, and a 2-0 start for the LEC's Movistar KOI. All eight Round 2 matches were played on Saturday, October 24 at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, with no regional restrictions for the first time in the Swiss Stage. Here is how it shook out.
Gen.G Dismantle Hanwha Life in 29 Minutes
The headline match pitted LCK first seed Gen.G against second seed Hanwha Life Esports, two heavyweight title contenders, and it was not close. Gen.G won in just 29 minutes with a 22-7 kill lead and a staggering 16,000 gold advantage, allowing Hanwha Life a single Voidgrub all game.
The jungle matchup decided it early. Kim 'Canyon' Geon-bu on Qiyana handled Seo 'Kanavi' Jin-hyeok's ultra-early counter-jungling well, turned the tables on growth, and swept up objective after objective. Armed with Hextech Soul and Baron, Gen.G marched through Hanwha Life's defenses and closed the game before it ever became a contest. Hanwha Life top laner Choi 'Zeus' Woo-je said afterwards that a top dive the team did not really want to make, plus mental mistakes in later teamfights, cost them the game, but he stayed positive: teams that go through hardship in Swiss often perform better in the Knockout Stage.
The win puts Gen.G at 2-0, one victory away from the quarterfinals. Hanwha Life drop to 1-1 and still control their own fate, but the aura of invincibility around the MSI champions took a real hit.
Dplus KIA Stun T1 Again at the Elder Dragon
If Gen.G's win was a demolition, Dplus KIA's win over T1 was a heist. The three-time defending champions led for most of a tense 41-minute game, but DK stayed resilient in unfavorable positions, minimized their losses, and stole the game with a perfect ultimate from Oh 'Career' Hyeong-seok in the final Elder Dragon teamfight. T1 could not use their composition's strengths, range and poke, when it mattered most, and handed the victory over.
It is the second miracle comeback in two days for DK, who also clawed back a seemingly lost game against G2 Esports in Round 1. The LCK's fourth seed, fresh off winning the Esports World Cup 2026, is now 2-0 and one win from the Knockout Stage. T1, the tournament's most decorated team, fall to 1-1 and suddenly look mortal.
Anyone's Legend Are One Loss From Elimination
The LPL's nightmare continued. Top seed Anyone's Legend, stunned by Karmine Corp in Round 1, lost the all-LPL showdown against Top Esports in a bloody 30-minute game, dropping to 0-2. When ace Lee 'Tarzan' Seung-yong was silenced, AL collapsed, and TES midlaner Lin 'Creme' Jian stole the show with a quadra kill on Locke in the decisive dragon-pit fight. TES closed with an 18-9 kill lead.
Emergency substitute Bai '369' Jia-Hao, rushed back into the lineup after starting top laner Cheng 'ZUIAN' Zi-Hao could not secure a US visa, was immense on Ambessa. TES move to 1-1 and have momentum. AL, meanwhile, must now win three straight matches to reach the Knockout Stage. One more loss sends the LPL champions home early, a result that would have seemed absurd a week ago.
The Rest of Worlds 2026 Swiss Stage Round 2
Elsewhere in Round 2, Movistar KOI beat CTBC Flying Oyster to reach 2-0, joining Gen.G and DK as the only unbeaten teams. Invictus Gaming beat Team Secret Whales and Bilibili Gaming beat Team Liquid Alienware, moving both LPL sides to 1-1 and keeping the region's hopes alive beyond TES. The LPL went winless on day one, and Round 2 stopped the bleeding everywhere except at the top, where AL's collapse is now the story of the tournament.
The standings after Round 2: Gen.G, Dplus KIA, and Movistar KOI at 2-0; Anyone's Legend at 0-2; and a crowded 1-1 middle featuring Hanwha Life, T1, Top Esports, Invictus Gaming, Bilibili Gaming, and CTBC Flying Oyster. Nobody has qualified or been eliminated yet: that starts in Round 3, where 2-0 teams play for quarterfinal spots and 0-2 teams play for survival.
Round 3 is where this tournament gets serious. Gen.G and DK can lock up quarterfinal places, AL face a win-or-go-home series, and T1 need to prove the DK loss was a blip rather than a trend.
